Printing help
If you try to print something and you don’t get your printout, check the following:
- The computers on the first floor print to one of two printers. If you don’t find your printout at one of them, check the other.
- Confirm that you have money in your pay-for-print account. (If not, you can add money to the account through a One-card “ATM” at the campus store.)
- Be sure that the printer has paper.
- Be sure that there is not a paper jam in the printer.
If none of these are applicable, see a member of the library staff for assistance.
Printing facts:
- If you print from an Adobe pdf document be sure to use the print icon within Adobe rather than using the standard “File – Print” keyboard sequence.
- Pay-for-print does not allow you to make multiple copies of a single document. Consider using a photocopier if you need to make more than a few copies.
- If you need to make color copies, you can do so in the media lab on the third floor of the library.
- If you need to scan documents, you can do so in the media lab on the third floor of the library.
- If you are using a laptop in the library, even if you are directly connected to the network through a cable, you cannot print to the networked library computers. Save your work elsewhere (flash drive, e-mail attachment) and then use one of the library lab stations to retrieve your document and print it.
