Computers & Printing
Computers in the Library
Computer workstations are located on the first and second floor of the library and are available for use by students, faculty, staff, and community patrons. There are 2 Apple desktops and 27 PCs. All computers are equipped with internet access and Microsoft Office. In addition to these workstations there is one 15 minute "quick use" desktop and one catalog access computer available at the Circulation Desk. A specialized digital editing and applied multimedia lab is available at the Media Center, located on the 3rd floor of the library building (use is limited to St. Mary's students, faculty, and staff).
Students, faculty, and staff can log in to a computer using their St. Mary's email username and password. Community patrons can ask the circulation desk staff or reference librarian on duty for a guest log in.
The library has 5 laptops available for a 2 week loan period and another 5 laptops for 3 hour loan to St. Mary's students only. Laptops are allowed outside the building.
Students may print from any PC workstation using the $20 Pay-for-Print account that is automatically linked to their OneCard (each printed page costs $0.10). There is no charge for faculty or staff printing in the library. Community patrons may print from any workstation at the cost of $0.10 per page, to be paid at the library's Circulation Desk. At this time, only black-and-white printing is available in the library.
The library also has the following peripherals available for students, faculty, staff, and community patrons to check out:
- laptop chargers
- extension cords
- external DVD drives
- flash drives
