
On Art and Travel throughout Turkey and Caucasus Countries

(St. Mary’s City, MD) February 20, 2012—Artist-in-Residence Pam Cardwell will deliver a presentation about historical and modern art she encountered during her travels in Turkey, the Republic of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. The talk will begin at 4:45 p.m. on March 28, 2012, in room 321 in the library.
The talk, titled “On Art & Travel throughout Turkey and the Caucasus Countries,” will include a discussion about the cultural distinctions in the art of Turkey and the Republic of Georgia, which are the geographic crossroads of eastern and western civilization. Cardwell will also present her own artwork and explain how Turkey and the Caucasus countries influence her work.
