Ping, a vocal group of St. Mary’s College of
Maryland, will present two short programs of a cappella music in the Brick Chapel
at Historic St. Mary’s on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. Under the
direction of Professor of Music Larry Vote, the group will present musical selections
from the 16th, 17th, 19th, and 20th
centuries. Each performance will last approximately 30 minutes. Parking for the
concert will be in the visitor’s center parking lot. The concert is free and
open to the public.
The St. Mary’s College vocal group Ping was established in spring 2012; the word “Ping” refers to a sharp resonant sound meant to draw attention. Watch how Ping got started.
