On Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, author Yona Harvey will read from her work as part of the third installment of the VOICES Reading Series. Harvey is an associate teaching professor and director of the creative writing program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. The reading will take place in Daugherty-Palmer Commons at 8:15 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Harvey is the author of the poetry collection, “Hemming the Water” (Four Way Books: New York, 2013), and the recipient of The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Individual Artist grant for 2012. Her current project is a collection of nonfiction about religious upbringing and sibling birth order.
