to SAS-L now, no charge. It’s
easy! The letter from Barbara
Hendry below tells how to do it: Dear
Colleagues, I
have established an account for an email discussion list for SAS through my
university. This will enable us to
simultaneously send messages to, and receive messages from, everyone on the
list. The name of the list is SAS-L.
I will not be moderating the list, meaning that any message you send to
SAS-L will automatically go through to everyone.
Keep in mind that your response to any posting will also automatically go
to everyone. Our messages will also
be archived for future reference if needed.
Here's
how to subscribe: Send
an email from your personal account to: listproc@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu
Do
not write anything in the subject field. Be sure to turn off your signature if
you have an automatic signature added to messages. In
the body of the E-mail message write: subscribe
SAS-L <your first name> <your last name> Just
write your names, without the brackets.
Don't write anything else in the body of the message. Send. You
should receive a reply saying that you have been subscribed.
Sending messages to SAS-L When
you send messages to SAS-L, the full E-mail address to use is: SAS-L@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu
If
you wish to receive your own postings to the list, you must set this command
after you successfully subscribe. To do this, send another message to listproc@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu.
Leave subject field blank, turn off signature.
In body of the message, write: set
SAS-L mail ack Unsubscribe To
unsubscribe from the list, send a message to listproc@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu.
Leave subject field blank, turn off signature.
In body of message write: unsubscribe SAS-L Let
me know if you have any questions. Also,
please let me know of anyone else you think I should invite to join the list.
Hope
this helps us to more efficiently communicate with each other about meeting
plans and other topics. Best
Regards, Barbara
Hendry, Ph.D.
