Make sure you have the latest version of Java.
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and scroll down the Settings list to make sure the box under Java (Sun) is checked.
Using Safari, go to Preferences => Advanced -> Enable Java
Using Firefox go to Preferences -> Content -> Enable Java
