63 degrees out in February… not bad!
This week, we’ve had two glorious days of 60+ degrees weather. It’s so funny how sun completely changes your outlook on the day. I’ve had a touch of a cold, but you can’t be mopey and sniffling when it’s sunny and you don’t have to wear a parka! Sunday’s weather was similar to today’s… so I took the opportunity to go running outside. I love running through Historic St. Mary’s… except I kind of kill the vibe when I’m wearing running shorts and an iPod and everyone else is dressed in seventeenth century garb. Anyways I found a new little trail on Sunday that took me down to the water. It’s funny, but I forget how pretty this area can be. Although I see the river every single day, I guess I don’t really take the opportunity to look around and appreciate it. Note to self… before graduation, take more time to hang out on the water.
Besides my deep personal reflections, I did a few other fun things this past weekend. We had an Open House for Admissions, and I was able to talk to some of the prospective students. Newsflash, I’m old, because the students were the same age as my youngest sister. Born in 1992?! Whoa. I actually remember that year. After that, there was an awesome basketball game against York. My friend Calvin scored his 1,000 point, which is really amazing! A few of my friends that are alumni were there, too… overall it was a great time. We won… obviously.
Now to this week. Obviously the usual stuff, homework and dance, is keeping me a bit busy. I also have some meetings about Senior Week (beach day, woohoo!) and post-graduation stuff to work out. It’s looking like a few friends and I will be living in a professor’s house while we are completing our Masters. Apparently, the prof is going on sabbatical, so it works out perfectly! It’s really amazing that they are willing to lend us their house. Apparently they have an extensive garden… cannot wait to see it. We are going to check it out on Sunday!
Alright, well now that I’ve laid out the week on here, I’m aware of all of the stuff I have to get done. Time to procrastinate with another sunny run, then it’s back to work!!
