Sahar Shafqat, an associate professor of political science at St. Mary’s College of Maryland wrote an editorial in the Baltimore Sun in early March about recent developments in Pakistan. Professor Shafqat’s teaching and research areas are comparative politics, ethnic politics, democratization, third world politics, and asian politics.
