After experiencing two classes yesterday, I made the executive decision that my spring break should continue on for a few days. Yes, I had just returned from a relaxing week in beautiful Frederick, Maryland, but I still did not feel that I was ready to attend Econ class and pay attention. I think part of the problem was an unfortunate paper incident that occurred between Sunday and Tuesday– after I arrived back at school, I started a paper I had due for history on Tuesday. (Yes, I could have done it all week, but I really work best under pressure.) Monday, I only moved from my desk in my room to go to dance and eat. It was intense. I finally finished the paper around 5 am Tuesday morning, which made my 10 am Econ class a sorry sight. After Econ, I marched up to my history professor and gave him my paper. He was like, “Uh, Katie, this paper is due April 7.” I thought I just wasn’t hearing him correctly as I had slept about three hours, but no– the paper is due in like two weeks. h*&^*(*ghuyg&^$&hj!!!!!
So yeah. After that whole event occurred, I went to my Education class. I love that class so much, but even that wasn’t cutting it. I was tired and mopey and pouting for most of it. I think the only thing that got me through it was the massive latte I brought and the generous amounts of coffee that my professor bestowed upon me. Yes– I looked so awesome that my professor gave me a coffee mug and a coffee maker. Well, after that, I was pretty much done. I had the godforsaken History class and yoga that night, but I decided Spring Break should not be over. Conveniently enough, I had plans that would take me away from the sorrows of papers and class…

Yes. I gave in to the 14 year old girl side of me and attended the Britney Spears concert last night instead of attending class. I know– rebel, right?! And yes, on the right side of the picture is Kathy, who escaped as well. I mean we’ve established that I love St. Mary’s to death, but there are some times when you have to make the little drive to DC for experiences such as this. Fortunately, it’s really not that far. We made it to DC in time for a lovely dinner and the concert. After the… erm, experience… we headed back to school. Today, I slept in and meandered to work around 12. I’ll probably do some homework at some point, gym, and then it’s my friend Trey’s birthday which should be a lot of fun. Spring break will live on for a few more hours!!! Until Econ at 10 am tomorrow… ugh. Well, then it’ll be Thursday night, which means that my week is technically over. School is exhausting, man. Fortunately that paper is done and out of the way… grrrrrrr…
Well next week is Tech Week for dance, which should be intense. Basically, we run the show (usually 20+ dances) over and over from Sunday night to opening night on Thursday. I guess it’s good that the history paper is out of the way for that reason. Anyways, I love the dances so it should be pretty fun! Three of my friends and I are making up a Senior Spotlight dance, a little piece that Dance Club seniors get to put together. That should be entertaining! I’ll try to keep this updated on how that’s going… some classy backstage pictures, perhaps!
Well, time to get some work done… as in time to look through pictures from last night…!
