Class of 2009 graduates Monica Kim and Kalada Nemieboka have their post-graduation plans confirmed: each will be working overseas thanks to a Fulbright grant. Kim will go to Taiwan on an English teaching assistantship; Nemieboka to Indonesia to teach political science. They will be joined by Clare Zuraw ’05, who will go to Bosnia and Herzegovina on an English teaching assistantship.
The U.S. Student Fulbright Program operates in more than 140 countries worldwide and awards 1,500 grants each year in nearly all academic disciplines. The Fulbright program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to enhance mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
