Hi everyone, my name is Sam. I haven’t posted here before so I will introduce myself a bit.
I am originally from Washington County in western Maryland, and graduated from St. Mary’s three weeks ago! While I was on the river, I studied political science and Chinese, and spent a semester abroad in Shanghai. I enjoyed living and exploring in China so much, that I decided to go back. Starting in July, I will be working for a nonprofit called the China Education Initiative in rural western China. Over the next year, I will be traveling, eating, and exploring my way across Southern China and Southeast Asia, and occasionally updating this blog with some stories.
As for now though, I am still living and working at SMCM. Only three weeks left…
