Registration has come and gone!

Written by Cathlin

Registration is complete! Students have met with their advisors, planned for the spring, and signed up for classes. Luckly it is a pretty smooth process; you get a registration time slot based on the amount of credits you have, allowing upperclassmen to get first pick and then it trickles down through the rest of the students. Technicalities aside, registration is actually a pretty fun process. You are completely in control of choosing what classes you want to take based on your own interets. You can read course descriptions on every offered course and talk to peers who have already taken them to gage whether or not it feeds into your own academic interests and passions. Also, you get to plan your schedule around your own body clock!! Are you a morning person? Great, take 8 AM and other morning classes. Do you hate waking up early? Even better, avoid having to report to your first class until 10:40, 12:00, or maybe even later than that.

Suppose you do have problems with registration.. your time slot is wrong, your classes close before you get to register.. everything will work out!! Our registrar office will work out any problems that you have with the actual registration process to make sure you are able to complete registration. Our professors are wonderful at allowing extra students into classes, adding you to a waiting list, or recommending other great classes based on your interests.

Registration can be stressful, but it is also extremely exciting. It allows you to plan for your future and take classes based solely on your own agenda. Personally, I know that I cannot wait until spring semester begins, unfortunately I have to get through exam week first!
