So tonight, one of SMCM’s most awesome events of the year starts- every spring semester, right around this time, the whole St. Mary’s community gets together for a crazy fun weekend known as… *drumroll please*… WORLD CARNIVAL. There are several bands that are brought to campus, along with vendors, food, and students tabling for their clubs and putting on performances (and my a cappella group, Interchorus, is performing tomorrow afternoon!). In past years, we’ve had a Beatles cover band (the Mahoney Brothers), inflatable obstacle courses, and last year, we had Carbon Leaf come and perform!

And about a million more things (including one of my suitemates doing henna tattoos!).
Basically, World Carnival is one of those especially awesome St. Mary’s traditions that you don’t want to miss out on- all of the students coming together to have a fantastic time is a crazy fun experience, and definitely one of my favorite parts of being a St. Mary’s student!
