First Sailing Class of the Semester!

Written by aigordon

Today I walked through the snow to my first sailing class of the semester! This class runs 2 days a week, 2 hours per class for the rest of the semester. Clearly we didn’t go out sailing today due to our lack of experience and the inclement weather, but we did discuss the plans for the semester and some basic sailing terms. I am very excited but also a little nervous. Hopefully my friend/boat partner and I will be able to make it through the semester without pitching ourselves into the river! I just feel so lucky to have this unique of an experience at my college… we’ll see how the rest of the semester goes on the water!

What a wonderful experience, having to walk through snow to reach your sailing boat! Here in Greece we don’t get this snow part enough. We have excellent seas for sailing though! Good luck!
