As if senior year hasn’t flown by fast enough, I am up to my neck in job applications! I never could have guessed that applying for a job is actually a full time job in itself! I made it my goal at the beginning of the year that I will have a job before I graduate– and I am uber-optimistic that’s going to happen!
Overall, I think the process has gone very smoothly for me… I have met with the Career Development Center several times over the course of the semester, and their help has been invaluable. In fact, I am over at the CDC so much that the entire office knows me by name and is up-to-date with what jobs I am applying for! They especially have been really great with revising my resume and cover letters and they give good advice for how to act and what to say in my interviews– both in the federal and private job search process. They are also super friendly!!!
Keep your fingers crossed– I have an interview over Spring Break with my DREAM job (I am even flying home early from Key West to go to it!), and I will definitely let you know how it goes!
