I thought, being from Massachusetts, that I had seen everything Mother Nature could throw at us, but nothing could have prepared me for the weather of Southern Maryland. Last week I wore shorts two days in a week, and today it snowed! I was actually kind of amused by the snow–we haven’t had any this year.
Hopefully things will warm up by tomorrow though, because the Offshore Sailing Team starts boat maintenance tomorrow afternoon. Since I can remember, doing boat maintenance in the frigid March weather has been a tradition–it means that spring is on the way. I can’t wait to get back on the water; the absolute best thing about spring going for a long sail after class–it’s an excuse to forget about work for a while and completely de-stress. It’s been hard being teased with warm weather only to have it go away. Hopefully things will be more consistent on the other side of Spring Break!
