Don Stabile Doctoral Alumni Scholarship
Established in 2011 by Donald R. Stabile to benefit graduating students or alumni who pursue scholarly research at doctoral granting institutions. Selection made by application to the Alumni Council.
2012 recipient Linden E. McBride '03 is in the applied economics and management program at Cornell University. Her interest bridges food security, nutrition and agricultural economics, and her research has the potential to impact policy changes as food crises threaten health and livelihoods around the world.
2011 recipient James Andrew Solyst '09 is in his third year in the neuroscience program at Emory University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2015. His interest bridges social psychology and neuroscience, and his research has the potential to translate to new treatments for improving social function in psychiatric disorders such as autism.
