Olivi-Belloni Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
Established in 2012 by Maria Luisa and Alessandro Olivi to benefit students from Baltimore City who have financial need and who desire to pursue law or medical school. Selection is based on a winning two-page essay.
The fund was established in memory of Giuseppe Belloni and Marcello Olivi, both of Padua, Italy. Dr. Belloni, who passed away in 1999, was well known as a competent, concerned and compassionate physician who was instrumental in opening the first geriatric hospital in Padua. Mr. Olivi, who passed away in 2012, was a highly respected lawyer and a local and national political figure, who was a strong advocate of the ideals of freedom and democracy.
