Whether you graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland, or any of it's predecessor schools, you are part of the College's alumni family.
As an alumnus/alumna, you will continue to hear from St. Mary's through publications such as The Mulberry Tree and River Gazette. You will be invited to attend events on campus, such as the annual Reunion Weekend and Governor's Cup, as well as the alumni chapter programs held throughout the State of Maryland, the District, and Virginia.
In addition to the value of your education at St. Mary's, there are other benefits to becoming a St. Mary's alum. Special privileges are accorded to SMCM alumni that allow continued access to College facilities and services. Some are free and some are offered at a reduced cost.
Alumni of the College receive a free subscription to The Mulberry Tree, a twice annual magazine with featured articles about College happenings, alumni, and friends as well as the ever popular alumni notes.
Alumni also receive The River Gazette six times a year.
Alumni receive a 20% discount for in-store Campus Store purchases of SMCM logo materials.
Alumni may sign up to have a free SMCM e-mail account. The e-mail subscription requires an annual renewal. If you already have an e-mail account, but are having trouble logging in, please contact the HelpDesk for assistance.
This special license plate (pictured below) features a color image of the College seal (The Ark & Dove) with the initials 'SM' next to the seal in bold letters followed by a number.

Please contact the Alumni Office for a license application. There is a $40 fee, $15 of which goes directly to support the Alumni Scholarship Fund. The logo license plate is only available for automobiles registered in the state of Maryland.
Beginning September 1, 2007, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Athletics and Recreation Center (ARC) will be extending free memberships to alums and household family members 18 years of age and older. Although membership will be free, a OneCard must be purchased for a one-time fee of $15.00 and registration paperwork filed at the Business Office. Once you have made payment and have the forms completed by the Business Office, you can go to the HelpDesk in Baltimore Hall to have your ID card created.
For more information about the ARC facilities & this benefit, contact Shawne McCoy, assistant athletic director at smmccoy@smcm.edu or Scott Devine, director of athletics and recreation at swdevine@smcm.edu.
Alumni can audit classes at SMCM at half-price rates. Tuition waver forms are available from the Alumni Office. Alumni will not receive credit for audited courses. Credit courses are full price.
