Come join three SMCM history
professors on a memorable tour of
key invasion sites.
Join SMCM history professors Gail Savage, Chris Adams, and Charles Holden on an exciting, informative tour of the important sites from the allied invasion of Normandy in June, 1944. Sites include the Imperial War Museum and Churchill’s Bunker in London, as well as the moving Omaha and Utah Beaches in France.
This tour will combine education with sight-seeing. Professors Adams, Holden, and Savage, your tour leaders, will offer occasional, short lectures to establish the historical context and significance of these important locations. Then it’s off to the sites, where you can experience first-hand the physical surroundings of one of the most famous invasions in the history of warfare.
