Swashbuckling Adventure on the Baltimore Seas
Baltimore, Maryland
Saturday, August 27, 2011
5:30 p.m. Family Friendly Cruise
7 p.m. Adult Only B.Y.O.G. Cruise
$10 for children 3 and younger
$15 for children 4-11
$20 for children 12 and older and adults

Ahoy! It’s time to weigh anchor, hoist the mizzen, raise the Jolly Roger and set sail on a pirate adventure. For you landlubbers, let me use the King’s English to describe what’s in store for you. We’ve booked two cruises with Urban Pirates on Saturday, August 27, aboard the pirate ship, Fearless, anchored in Baltimore’s Fells Point. Urban Pirates was co-created by St. Mary's own, Cara (Hergan) Joyce '92.

The first cruise starts at 5:30 p.m. and is family friendly, so bring your young lads and lassies with you. Before leaving land, you’ll dress up in pirate’s garb, get tattooed, and paint your face. Once underway, the pirate crew will get you singing and dancing, playing games, looking for booty to plunder, and engaging in battle with Mad Dog Mike’s man-o-war!

The second pirate adventure begins at 7 p.m. and is for adults only. You’ll do all the same things as on the family cruise with one big exception--this is a B.Y.O.G. (bring your own grog) event so absolutely no one under 21 will be allowed on this cruise.

Both pirate adventures last 1 ½ hours. There are a limited number of tickets available for each cruise and everyone, even children under the age of 3, must have a ticket. Ticket prices are $10 for children 3 and younger, $15 for children 4-11, and $20 for children 12 and older and adults.

Well, rascals and beauties, are you ready to heave ho and swagger like a true bucko on the Baltimore seas? Or will you be a scallywag and walk the plank if you’re not keelhauled first? Remember, dead men tell no tales!

Savvy?

Register here for the Family Friendly Cruise at 5:30 p.m.

Register here for the Adult Only B.Y.O.G. Cruise at 7 p.m.
