Alumni Where are they now?
Matthew Fishel (studio art, 2001) completed an MFA at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2010. Originally interested in painting, Matthew has expanded his practice to include animation, video, installation, and digital imaging. He is a frequent contributor to RedStarKGB, an ongoing collaboration of filmmakers in Baltimore. His own film, "A Short Film Regarding Possibilities", was selected by the Maryland Film Festival in 2006. See his work at http://www.matthewfishel.com
ART 214: Introduction to Digital Media back to courses index
Billy Friebele
This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts, tools and techniques of digital art. Formal and creative problems are explored through the use and variety of computer software and hardware, including screen, print and physical media projects. Critiques of digital art and discussion of issues in contemporary digital media will be a central focus of this course.
No prerequisite. This course satisfies the core curriculum requirement in the arts.
