Alumni Where are they now?

Matthew Fishel (studio art, 2001) completed an MFA at Maryland Institute College of Art in 2010. Originally interested in painting, Matthew has expanded his practice to include animation, video, installation, and digital imaging. He is a frequent contributor to RedStarKGB, an ongoing collaboration of filmmakers in Baltimore. His own film, "A Short Film Regarding Possibilities", was selected by the Maryland Film Festival in 2006. See his work at http://www.matthewfishel.com

Bio:
Camilo
Sanin was born in Bogota, Colombia and now resides in Washington DC. After
receiving a BA in Art History and Studio Art from the University of Maryland in
2008, Sanin was awarded an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in
2011. Conner Contemporary selected Sanin to be one of nineteen artists featured
in ACADEMY 2011, the gallery's annual invitational survey of outstanding work
by area BFA and MFA students. He is the 2009 recipient of the Hoffberger
Foundation Fellowship and First Prize winner at the Bethesda Painting Awards.
His work has been included in numerous exhibitions in New York, Washington DC,
Maryland, Virginia, Florida and Venezuela. The latest projects include a 12
piece public commission for South Clark St. in Crystal City, VA and
participation in UMUC's Vista: Contemporary Works by Latin American
Artists.
