43rd Annual Student Art Show
March 19 - 31, 2012
Students may enter up to five works in any medium. Only those artworks created by students while enrolled at SMCM are eligible. All works must be “ready to hang” as specified in the guidelines here and submitted with a securely attached Boyden Gallery entry form (available in the gallery).
Eligible works include:
- Time-based works
- Sculptures and Installations
- Works on paper
- Paintings
- Books
CASH & HONORARY AWARDS
Awards are based on artistic quality and presentation.
Juror awards to First, Second, Third, Forth, and Fifth- year students for Outstanding Student Art
Patti Runco Arts Alliance Award for Outstanding Work in the Annual Student Art Exhibit
Frank McCutcheon Memorial Award
PNC Bank Award- First, Second, Third prize awards. To be displayed at PNC Bank in Leonardtown.
IMPORTANT DATES
March 4th 1 pm - 7 pm Matt/ Frame Demos in MH 132
March 8th, 10 am - 3 pm Drop-off artwork at Gallery
March 9th 10 am - 3 pm Drop-off artwork at Gallery
March 19th 11 am - 5pm Pick-up artwork not displayed
(Please note: Due to the yearly popularity of the show, not all submitted works can be exhibited. Work can be picked up on March 19th, or week of March 12 outside of the gallery; be sure to sign works out!)
March 19th 4:45 pm – 6 pm Opening reception
March 30th 5:00 pm Exhibition closes
April Reception at PNC Bank
