“Successions: Prints by African American Artists from the Jean and Robert Steele Collection” was originally organized by the David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora and The Art Gallery at the University of Maryland. It was first presented at the university, and since has traveled around the country. Print techniques include etching, monoprint, lithography, linocut and silkscreen. The exhibition is made possible by support from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Consortium for Race, Gender, and Ethnicity, University of Maryland, College Park. (Press Release)
