'Voices of Rwanda': public lecture and screening
A public lecture and screening will be given by Taylor Krauss, Founder and Executive Director of Voices of Rwanda, on Oct. 17 at 8:10 pm in the Library, room 321. Krauss will show excerpts of survivor testimony on the 1994 Rwandan genocide that claimed approximately 800,000 lives. His work over many years in Rwanda has consisted of interviewing survivors and recording their testimonies in an effort to preserve their stories and inform the public of its responsibility to prevent human rights atrocities.
This presentation is sponsored by the Departments of International Languages and Cultures; African and African Diaspora Studies; and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
