59 Days Project with Visiting Artist Heather Layton
The "59 Days of Independence" project invites global citizens of all ages, professions, and nationalities to celebrate the independence days of 59 countries that once gained freedom from British rule. The most important part of the project is that we will each celebrate for a country other than our own in an attempt to envision a world that believes in "freedom for all, not just for one."
Includes a presenation on the Peace Program: St. Mary's College of Maryland & The Gambia - by Bill Roberts, Professor of Anthropology, a University of The Gambia Exchange Student, and Past Participants in the PEACE Program.
