The Dept. of Art and Art History presents a lecture by Scott Frank, PhD:

Dreams and Realities of Frank Lloyd Wright: LA's Charles Ennis House

Ennis House by Frank Lloyd WrightFrank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is arguably the most famous American architect. His love for nature as well as his brilliant aesthetic eye led him to dream up a number of experimental building systems and materials, which often makes the realities of caring for a Wright building extremely difficult.  As a way to explore these issues, Dr. Frank's talk will focus on the Charles Ennis house (1924) in Los Angeles, which has been a residence, an historic building, and has also served as the location for over eighty screen appearances for TV, music videos, and several films including Blade Runner (1982), Rush Hour (1995), and Firefly (2005).
