Nancy Roldán, piano, and José Cueto, violin, in concert
Nancy Roldán, piano and José Cueto, violin will perform works by Liszt, Ginastera, Poulenc and Piazzola on March 28th, 8 pm at St. Mary's College of Maryland's Montgomery Hall Room 25.
Argentine-born Roldán, has been acclaimed as an "excellent pianist" by New York critics and admired for her ability to "breathe life into the score." She has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America. Roldán is also the founder of the Liszt-Garrison 2013 Franz Liszt: Visionary Festival and International Competition.
Admired by public and critics for his solid technique, rich and beautiful tone, Strad magazine recognized Cueto's performance at Weill-Carnegie Hall as "grounded, confident, and superb." Concertmaster for Concert Artists of Baltimore, Cueto has performed in his native Puerto Rico, as well as Argentina, Europe and the United States. He is the resident artist at St. Mary's College of Maryland, and a faculty member at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
