- St. Mary’s College Radio, The HAWK, is finishing an exciting $35,000 re-imagination of its studios and broadcast equipment. The upgrades, funded by the SGA and the College, will provide high-class broadcasting and recording studios in preparation for The HAWK’s planned return to high-definition FM radio. Students can visit www.seahawkradio.com worldwide to listen or to volunteer to be a DJ. For more information, please contact Station President Christian Schneider or Station Manager Jeremy Pevner.
- The St. Mary’s College SGA committed $100,000 of its surplus funds to be invested in an interest-earning St. Mary’s Foundation account in the spring of 2007. St. Mary’s students have the opportunity to decide how this money will be invested. The Student Investment Group is a collection of students that analyze economic data, research market trends, and ultimately decide how to invest the SGA’s savings. Though the Investment Group’s officers are appointed by the Senate, any student is welcome to join the organization as a research analyst and take part in the process.
