I have a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Iowa, as well as masters coursework in academic advising. I am a certified Federal Job Search Trainer and I have earned the Global Career Development Facilitator credential from NCDA. Before this position I served for 7 years on the faculty. I love that my current role still allows me to “teach" and provides me with the opportunity to interact with students from all disciplines. I am consistently impressed with the many things our students are accomplishing and I am eager to support them!

I have a M.A. in Counseling from Oakland University,
Rochester, MI and a B.A. in Business Administration from Siena Heights
University, Adrian, MI. Before joining St. Mary's, I worked as a career and
student adviser and had my own consulting business for several years. I love
working with students and helping them identify and achieve their
career-related goals.

I have a B.A. in English from the Sewanee: The University of
the South. I began my career teaching honors English to freshman at Seabreeze
High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. I, then, went on to teach Developmental
Writing and the language portion of the GED at Daytona State College. After
moving to Maryland I started teaching Composition, Non-Fiction Prose, and
Literature part-time at the College of Southern Maryland. Currently, I am the
Program Coordinator at the Career Development Center. My position at St. Mary's allows me to work
with fascinating students, and I am always amazed to hear about the exciting
work they are doing outside of the classroom.
