Find your next opportunity
Many employers that are looking for new graduates from St. Mary’s also have opportunities for mid- and senior-level candidates. We share these jobs through HireSMCM, the College’s online jobs database. If you are looking for a new opportunity, contact the Career Development Center at firstname.lastname@example.org to register for a job seeker account. Our staff are also available to you for assistance with your application materials, exploring new career paths, negotiating salary or your next promotion. Please reach out to us for advice or to set an appointment.
Give back through the Professional Network
Join the St. Mary’s Professional Network and share your experience and advice with students and new professionals.
Host a student for a job shadow experience
The St. Mary’s MicroInternship Program is a 1-2 day job shadowing experience between fall and spring semesters. Each winter, students are paired with alumni for an insider’s view of the industry and organization through observation of work and participation in small projects. To learn more about host site requirements and benefits or to apply please visit the MicroInternship page.
Offer a Career Immersion Trip
Spend a day sharing your career path with a group of students by hosting a Career Immersion trip. Employers in the region open their doors to small groups of students and provide an onsite overview of the organization and career paths, offer advice, and if desired, highlight open opportunities. These trips take place during the fall and spring semesters on Reading Days when classes are cancelled.
Recruit at St. Mary’s
If you would like to encourage current students to intern with your organization, or to consider employment there, we have several options. Let us know if you are interested in posting a job or internship with your organization, recruiting on campus during our career fair or visiting campus for a day of interviewing candidates for a job or internship. We provide further details on these opportunities on our Employers page. We would be happy to have a conversation with you, or a recruiter from your organization, to expand the possibilities open to current students.
