Responsibilities and benefits to the student:
The Middle States Self-Study Co-Chairs are looking for a well organized highly motivated student genuinely interested in the College. This position is a unique opportunity to work with the team of Co-Chairs tasked with creating the structure for the College to undergo self-reflection and ultimately produce a document that will lead the College in its efforts. Specific responsibilities include locating and organizing data and reports, assisting the Co-Chairs in the maintenance of an on-line representation of the self-study, working with Events and Conferences to set up forums and other events for dissemination and gathering of information from the campus. The student selected for this position will have the opportunity to develop organizational and time management skills, participate in workflows in a complex environment, practice oral and written professional communication, participate in setting meeting agendas, and monitor progress of project goals. The skill set acquired will be of great benefit to any student interested in pursuing a career in education/higher ed, policy development, social science research, or non-profit/government administration.
Qualifications and unique application instructions:
The student should be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate for this position would be very comfortable with analytical and quantitative skills and comfortable learning new web-based applications.
