In addition to its regular meetings, the Council
for Maryland Archeology is involved in numerous outreach activities
involving archeology in Maryland.
Every April, the Council, along with the Archeological
Society of Maryland Inc. and the Maryland Historical Trust, sponsor
Maryland Archeology Month .
Working with the Archeological Society of
Maryland, the Education Committee has produced exhibits
and other material for distribution throughout the state.
In a joint effort with the Maryland Commission
on Indian Affairs, The Native American Liason
Commitee explores common ground and cooperation with American
Indian groups in Maryland.
The Council and its membership help support
the efforts of the Archeological Society of Maryland Inc. in
its Certified Archeological Technichian program by providing
professional acheological experience for its participants.
The Council coordinates with State and Federal
enities concerning matters of interst to archaeologists practicing
in Maryland.
