What does CKI do?
Circle K is involved with a variety of service and leadership activities.
Here is a brief review of what types of activities CKI has done throughout the 2008-2011 school years:
- Sponsored the K-Kids club at Lexington Park Elementary School (every week)
- Sponsored the Builders club at Spring Ridge Middle School (every week)
- Sponsored the Key Club at Great Mills High School (bi-monthly)
- Worked the Kids Tent at Spirits of Point Lookout
- Sold concessions Oyster Festival
- Collected almost $100 for Trick or Treat for UNICEF
- Cleaned up Greenwell State Park
- Painted chairs at Little Flower Elementary School
- Delivered Thanksgiving dinners to needy families in St. Mary's County
- Adopted a family for Christmas
- Put together care packages for soldiers
- Collected food for a local food pantry
- Raised $200 for the Six Cents Initiative by hosting an on-campus Pizza Delivery Night
- Set up a free tie-dye table at World Carnival
- Helped to rehabilitate a home for a needy family in St. Mary's County by helping with Christmas in April
- Attended Top Guns Dinner sponsored by Kiwanis
- Attended Kiwanis Officer Inductions
- Attended Spring Officer Training Conference (SOTC)
- Attended District Convention and won numerous awards!
- Attended Interclubbing activities to meet and work alongside our fellow CKI and Kiwanis clubs
- Hosted Spring Officer Training Conference for Key Club students at Great Mills High School
- Attended a Student Leadership Program Appreciation dinner
