Lifeguard Certification Classes

Learn lifesaving skills from an American Red Cross certified Lifeguarding Instructor at St. Mary’s College of Maryland!  The Lifeguard Certification course teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies.    

Lifeguard candidates must be at least 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of the course.  Classes will be held at the Aquatic Center in our Athletic & Recreation Center.  Candidates must be able to pass a swimming test at the first class.  Candidates must bring a swim suit and proof of age (driver’s license, birth certificate, etc.) to the first class.  Other materials will be provided.  The cost for this class will be $175.  Space is very limited, so register today!
