The Project Management Certificate Program of St. Mary's College of Maryland provides a series of classroom courses that teach a standardized process for managing projects as well as developing skills to recognize and avoid potential problems. These courses are helpful for anyone in a management position, in the professional world, for those who wish to advance in their career, or for those who are preparing to take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam. The five core courses cover the primary subject areas of Project Management. The sixth course is a highly interactive capstone course that uses work groups and teams to simulate a project from early initiation through closeout phases.; The method of instruction consists of lectures with significant in-class exercises to allow for practical application of the material.
