William A. Broadus, PMP, is currently a Professor of Engineering Management at the Defense Acquisition University. Prior to joining DAU, he served as the Air Vehicle IPT Leader for the AV-8B Program Office (PMA-257) at the Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River Maryland. During his 22-years of military (USMC), commercial and DoD civilian service, he has successfully held numerous operations, maintenance, engineering, acquisition and program management positions. Mr. Broadus is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS, Mechanical Engineering)and The George Washington University (MS, Project Management). He is DAWIA Level III certified for Program Management and Systems Engineering, a member of the DoDAcquisition Community (APC), and holds the desination of Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Mr. Broadus has been associated with the SMCM Project Management Certificate Program since its inception in 2001 and developed many of the course materials for the program.
