These are some steps you need to take in order to be sure that your computer will meet our standards and ensure that it keeps your machine and the campus network as safe as possible.
- Anti-virus/Anti-spyware
- This is a list of approved anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Most of them have both free and non-free versions. Select the one that's best for you.
- Password Information
- These guidelines will help you to set up a strong password to keep your account safe from hackers.
- Run System updates
- Your computer will be required to have the latest patches to connect to the internet from your Residence Hall.
- Campus Manager
- Beginning with the 2009 Fall semester, student computers will be required to meet the campus security policy before being allowed access to ResNet.
