The Privatization of National Defense
This conference examined the growing use of private contractors in national defense and its implications for different agencies of government. Experts from the military, state department and intelligence community discussed the growing use of private national security contracting and the difficult issues raised by contractors in government. The program hosted 13 speakers on three main topics: Private Contractors in Current U.S. Military Operations, International Dimensions of Privatization and The Privatization of Intelligence. Speakers included Rear Admiral Steven Eastburg, Commander, NAWCAD, Peter W.
