PROGRAM ADMISSION

Each year, St. Mary's College invites 30 entering students to join the DeSousa-Brent Scholars Program. Students are identified by their past success as high school leaders and their membership in underrepresented groups as defined by first-generation status, income, ethnicity, disability, and geography. Participants who accept the invitation join a cohort and associate themselves with a larger group of campus leaders. All first-year DeSousa-Brent Scholars are automatically enrolled in the Multicultural Achievement Peer Program (MAPP).

Other students who request to participate in DeSousa-Brent are considered as space permits.
