Why St. Mary’s?

We provide a publicly-supported high quality liberal arts education.

St. Mary’s is continually ranked as one of the top small public colleges in the country, due to our rigorous curriculum, small class sizes and close, supportive campus life. Our graduates are successful, socially conscious, and well rounded individuals with a tradition of tolerance and a thirst for life-long learning. We provide a high standard of academics with a small-college experience.

We ensure a supportive academic environment.

At St Mary’s, students benefit from close relationships with their faculty and peers. With a 10 to 1 student faculty ratio and approximately 2,000 students on campus from 20 countries, students experience the support of individual mentoring that cannot be found at larger colleges. Students get a full-time faculty member as a personal adviser from the very beginning.

We promote exploration.

At St. Mary’s, you’ll choose your own path of study, guided by a flexible Core Curriculum that ensures engagement with the arts, sciences, and a range of historical and cultural perspectives.

We support individuality.

The campus lies in a setting of natural beauty and historic meaning which enhances our ability to reflect on our lives in an increasingly complex, technological, and interdependent world.

We invite you to join our family.
