English Courses
Each term, the English faculty teaches several dozen different courses. Certain of these classes you may expect to find offered in some form every term (Introduction to Literature, for example). Some are offered in a regular rotation, appearing every other term or every other year. Others are rarities-specialized seminars, unusual topics classes-that might never appear again.
Several on-line sources exist to help you find out about classes you could take. The St. Mary's College Catalog, which is updated annually, will give you general information about the kinds of classes available from the department. The Course Schedule, which comes out every term before registration, will tell you what specific classes are to be taught in the following term, who will be teaching what, and when and where classes are to meet. Below are provisional schedules of courses for the next few semesters. If you need any further information, please contact the professor responsible for the course in question.
