Creative Writing
Welcome to St. Mary's College of Maryland Creative Writing website!
The English major at St. Mary's College integrates literature and creative writing, so there is no Creative Writing major or minor. This website is intended to help direct aspiring creative writers to the resources available on campus, as well as show prospective students the opportunities that the college has to offer for creative writers. Creative Writing is a large part of the campus community from our Voices Reading Program to the literary magazine Avatar and to the various creative writing classes our school as to offer. Click on any of the following links to learn more about what is available to aspiring writers out there. If you have any further questions or comments, feel free to contact Karen Anderson at klanderson@smcm.edu. More resources and dates of events are also available at our Facebook page, Creative Writing Resources at St. Mary's College of Maryland. You can also check our bulletin board, located in upstairs Monty for more resources, updates, and samples of faculty and student publications.
