Bruce Wilson received his B.A. from Bates College, and his Ph.D. from The University of Virginia. His scholarship and teaching focus on the interconnections of western Modernism and East Asia. He is a licensed teacher of the Saga Goryu school of ikebana headquartered at Daikakuji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, and has demonstrated, written about, and exhibited ikebana internationally.
