Do I need to preregister for Alumni Weekend?
How do I register for Alumni Weekend?
Registration opens online for all alumni on Monday, April 1. Given the high demand for housing, we offer priority registration several days in advance to our annual donors of $100+ (July 1, 2018 – February 28, 2019) as a way of thanking them for their support of the College. If you would like to register over the phone, you may call the Office of Alumni Relations at (240) 895-3311. Registration closes on Sunday, May 19, and walk-up guests or anyone who tries to register after the deadline cannot be accommodated for ticketed events and meals because the vendors need order numbers in advance.
Will I receive a registration confirmation?
How do I change or add to my registration once it has been submitted?
You may add to your registration by clicking the unique link in your confirmation email. You may add events and/or guests, or remove unpaid events, to your original registration at any time before the registration deadline. Registration closes on Sunday, May 19, and walk-up guests or anyone who tries to register after the deadline cannot be accommodated for ticketed events and meals because the vendors need order numbers in advance.

Does my registration for Alumni Weekend count as a tax-deductible donation?
Unfortunately, no. Registration charges and fees serve to offset the costs of the entertainment and services provided. If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift to the College, you will be given the option to do so through the online registration form or you can make a gift here. The alumni giving percentage is often used to determine the College’s eligibility to receive certain grants and can affect rankings, so gifts of any amount are welcome and encouraged.
Why does on-campus housing sell out so fast?
Each year the attendance numbers are increasing and we are doing our best to make as much housing available as possible. To better accommodate alums of various ages and budgets, we’ve implemented a three-tier housing structure that incorporates “premium” grade townhouses and apartments, “deluxe” suites, and “standard” residence hall rooms. Given the high demand for housing, we offer priority registration several days in advance to our annual donors of $100+ (July 1, 2018 – February 28, 2019) as a way of thanking them for their support of the College.
Can I purchase more than one housing unit?
Can children stay in on-campus housing?
We have many family friendly events scheduled throughout the weekend and children are welcome to stay on campus. The online registration form will have an option to request quieter, family friendly housing so that we may assign your group more appropriately. We do not recommend Lewis Quad suites to families, as they do not have quiet hours.
Are handicap units available in on-campus housing?
How do I find out which of my friends has already registered?
I’m staying in on-campus housing – what is included? What should I bring?
All housing units are air conditioned and free WiFi is available, but do not come with televisions. You’re supposed to be outside on the waterfront!
Those staying in premium housing will have a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, but not a microwave, plates, cups, etc. Deluxe and traditional housing units do not include a refrigerator, stove, or microwave.
This year, linens are not included in any of the housing units, but linen packages (including a blanket, sheets, and towels) are available to rent for $10 per bed.
In the past, linen packages were provided with all premium housing, but due to the increasing costs we decided to allow guests the option of bringing their own instead of passing the cost directly to you. One pillow will still be provided on each bed.
We recommend on-campus guests bring all necessary linens including blankets, twin XL sheets, personal toiletries, hand soap, and paper products such as paper towels, tissues, cups, and plates.
The bottom line – on-campus housing is functional, but bare. Should you require a bit more luxury or privacy, we recommend staying in one of the three local hotels where we have secured blocks of discounted rooms.

Where can I park during Alumni Weekend?
Ample parking will be available without a parking pass, and there will be signage to direct you to available lots when you arrive on campus. You are welcome to park in any of the student lots near housing or at the Campus Center.
There are a limited number of handicap parking spaces, and handicap registration plates or placards are required. Please do not park at Historic St. Mary’s City, on College Drive, on the grass/sidewalks, or in any marked fire lanes. Public Safety reserves the right to ticket or tow any vehicles parked in inappropriate spots.
Van and golf cart shuttles will be available to transport alumni around campus, so we encourage all alumni to utilize these resources and avoid driving across campus throughout the weekend.
