Join us on Maryland’s Western Shore—five minutes from the Chesapeake, ten from the Potomac–for a week of craft talks, lectures, panel discussions, and readings, as well as daily workshops in fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction. 44th Annual Governor’s Cup Yacht Race & Zero Year Reunion

Held annually in August, the Governor’s Cup Yacht Race is the oldest and longest overnight race on the Chesapeake Bay. This year marks the 44th running of the race from Maryland’s current capital city in Annapolis to its first capital city in St. Mary’s City. Simultaneously, Potomac Leg sailors start at Dahlgren and Southern Leg sailors start at Fishing Bay to sail to St. Mary’s City.
