Camps, Conferences, & Facility Rental Policies
St. Mary’s College of Maryland prioritizes the safety of all its esteemed guests and camp-goers.
Please take the time to review our insurance policies for camps and conferences. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
All camps, conference groups, and facility rental clients are required to purchase a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. A copy of this policy must be presented to the Office of Events and Conferences no later than two weeks prior to the event start date.
Camps with Minors
Fingerprinting and background checks are required for all adults working with individuals under the age of 18. Documentation must be provided to the Office of Events and Conferences upon request.
Camps and conferences with minor participants are also required to provide a ratio of no less that one adult chaperone for every ten minors.
Meals must be taken in our campus dining hall or provided by a licensed caterer*.
Bon Appétit has first right of refusal for food service for all events, conferences, and camp activities held on campus.
Please take the time to review our important policies for weddings and receptions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
The College requires that clients purchase liability insurance; your insurance agent can help you with this. A copy of the policy must be provided to the Events & Conferences Office prior to your event.
The College provides access to restroom facilities, power, and trash cans.
All other equipment (tents, tables, chairs, etc.) must be coordinated with an outside vendor. We are happy to make vendor recommendations.
The grass in the Garden will be trimmed before your wedding.
You may add potted flowers and plants to the Garden and you will be responsible for removing them. Under no circumstances will the client be allowed to trim or remove any of the original plantings.
Signs will be provided and put up by the Events & Conferences Office directing your guests to designated parking lots.
You can obtain directions to the college here.
