Welcome to the Office of Development

St. Mary’s College of Maryland has come a long way since 1840.  Today, there are over 10,000 people who can proudly say that they are alumni of St. Mary’s.

Supporting academic excellence and an accessible education at St. Mary’s is a central mission of the Development Office.  We strive to build a solid endowment base and steady annual giving to provide the finest liberal arts education for students who will make a difference in the world, now and for generations to come.  At a time when only 28% of the College’s budget comes from public funding, private support – your gift -- is a key part of what the College is able to accomplish.

A nationally ranked liberal arts college, St. Mary’s fosters an atmosphere that encourages life-long learning.  We are an integral part of the local community.  In conjunction with individual and corporate sponsors, we offer a wide range of cultural events including guest lectures, art exhibits, theater and music performances, and opportunities for continuing education and professional certification.
